Part Time - Full Time

Can anyone tell me why it seems like part-time work is not as highly valued as full time work?

Surely if its the same company, the same role- it wouldn't matter how many hours a day you are doing it for.

What would be the ramifications for telling a recruitment agency that you are working full time? (Obviously that being the only lie, being completely truthful about experience etc.)

Part time indicates that you couldn't commit to full time for whatever reasons. It's not really the same experience either, because you've been doing it for less time than someone doing it full time. Depending on the area this could be a factor.
