Just started a new job on Monday and I really dont like it - I left my last job cos i was being bullied and mangement ignored the problem. Now im in a job I dont like but have sum interviews lined up so if I go do I have to give them notice or should I just tell them it doesnt suit me and leave on that day - being tomorrow??? Or should I stick it out and give it time?

    What to do ?

you'd be mad to leave if you dont have somewhere to go. go to the interview but dont tell your boss just make up some excuse
your probably just having teething problems stick it out for a month and see what happens

All im saying is ther's no point in leaving unless you have somewhere to go. we all work/worked for A.holes at one stage there's no point in jacking no matter how bad it is just stick at it till sometrhing better comes along. It'll will probably give you the drive to find somewhere better

you cant honestly have made an informed decision on what the job is like in the first week. it is not possible. moving job is one of the most stressful things you will do in your lifetime. it is right up there with moving house and things like that. you have to get used to new management, new colleagues, new procedures, a new commute, new surroundings, etc. so the first couple of months is always going to be stressful and sometimes you are going to feel like you made the wrong move. when i used to do recruitment you would be surprised how many people left a company in the first month becuase they didnt like it, but if they had given it a few months they could have ended up staying there long term. the people who didnt like the job but were smart about it waited 3 months to get a good feel for it, and a lot of the time after 3 months they had a completely differnt opinion of the company and ended up staying there. personally i believe it takes at least 3 months to really know what a company is like to work for.

from the outside looking in at you situation it looks like this, you just left a job becuase you felt you were being bullied and you didnt like how management dealt with it. now you have a new job and your only 1 week into it and you want to leave because you dont like the management. so what happens if the next job you go to isnt up to your standards? will you be leaving there as well? if you want to make any kind of serious career for yourself then you are going to have to stick a job out at some stage, regardless if it isnt doesnt live up to your expectations. otherwise your CV and your reputation are going to be ruined. this is a small country and you can only go so far without meeting someone you previously worked with.

just think about it before you make any decisions.

I dont know if its a good idea to quit a job after only 4 days, I imagine most work environments take some time to adjust too. I also imagine it would not look good for future employers to see you quit your last job after only a week. Id give it another couple of weeks and see how you feel about the situation then. If you still really hate it, you should probably consider your options, Just my opinion though!

Yeah I see what ye are saying alright. I have lined up other interviews doing a role out on site - which I used to do a few years ago - way less stress an dway less hours - and with a non-sleepin one year old seems like the way back to sanity! God Im a drama quenn - jus lookin back at what I was sayin.
Im going to go to the interviews and see how i feel after them.
    Thanks every1
    peace out!

Ha, I'm leaving a job that ive been in for over 3 years next week ... to move four hundred miles to live in a total different environment where i dont know anybody except ONE person ....
I better like my job! BUT i know i wont be making my decisions after four days .. the first week is defo the toughest!
