Buying Prepaid Mobile in New York

    Hi

    Going to new york next week with a group and I would like to buy a couple of prepaid mobile phones as the roaming costs are mad on my meteor phone, anybody do this recently, is it as easy as here, will I need ID etc? How much will they cost?

    $30 for a phone from Wal-Mart. No id needed at all. You simply buy minutes after that. Also you pay to receive calls in the USA. So if 2 of you talk for 5 minutes, 5 minutes is deducted from each of your phones.
