Whats the best/standard way for calculating your ROI.

Is it best to work on the stake and take it over a year/ month.

    Or

Base it on each table/tourney etc and then average the result.

    Thanks

They can both be be very misleading if you are playing at hugely different stakes.
But the more accurate way in my opinion is your first way.

    Sharkscope.

I've looked at sharkscope but the ROI figures don't make much sense. When I first found out I was -26% ROI and -$400 over 400 STT's, I was shocked.

So I concentrated and played better, over 200 STT's I ran the account from $50 to $400 and checked sharkscope again. -$200 and ROI of -22%.

    Not exactly accurate ???

I opened a VC account 2 weeks ago and deposited $100 ran it up to $300 again playing STT's, sharkscope shows my stats as $17 profit and 7% ROI.

    BUT

At least the fishy symbol is gone:o

Forget sharkscope on Ipoker, it's unreliable.

I split my ROI out by type in a tracking spreadsheet, so for STTs I have an individual ROI for each game, an ROI for each level i.e. $22, $33, $55 and then roll that up into 100 STT blocks regardless of level.

That way I know my ROI for any given level, as well as overall ROI.

    That makes sense, thanks.
