So how do boardsies rate in the lateness stakes? (no dirty jokes please!)
    Are you constantly late?
    Are you fashionably late?
Do you leave your mates standing while you, er, do your hair?

Do you have any mates that are like that, that drive you mad?

I have some mates i have to lie to about meeting times so that he turns up on time! (I usually tell them 7:30 if we are due to meet at 8)

    How do you rate?

I am always late for work, every day between 5 and 10 minutes.

My periods do be late too.

But my sister in law is the best, She is sometimes 2 hours late to family partys.

I'm always right on time, if I'm going to be even 5 minutes later than expected I will alert the person I'm meeting, I find it very rude when people don't turn up on time, or don't let it be known that they're running late.

If I have a restricted amount of time to get ready to go somewhere I'll always be late. If I have all day to get ready I can manage to be on time.

It's like the more I panic about being late the slower i do stuff.

I manage to not be late for work thanks to flexi time.

im always 10-20 minutes early to events and stuff like football praccy or band praccy or meetings - it was bet into me when i was a kid i guess haha. The horrible thing is, when the lads are like 2 minutes over, im right on the phone calling asking wtfs going on! But thats only for the fixed events each week.

For some reason im always 5-30 minutes late for work.. its not out of choise, the earlier i leave the more hassle it is. Ill be fooked if im leaving at 6:30 for what should be a 30 minute drive at most to be in work for 9. Me arse!

I'm late for work around 90 percent of the time. Anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours. I've received several warnings on the matter but I don't really care. It's a ****ty job and they'd be doing be favour if they fired me tbh.

Better to be late than not come at all. O.o

I'm never late, either for work or for social stuff. I make it my business to arrive at least 5 minutes before I'm supposed to...and I hate being kept waiting by anyone else not courteous enough to bother keeping time, especially WRT business/work.
I've one mate that's an absolute disatser with timing..."I'll be around in half an hour"...shows up 2 hours later...if I'm picking him up in the car, I call first to say I'll be there in X...I'm always left sitting at the gate for 5 minutes. Not his fault, he's just not good at managing time...cost him a job once.

I'm never late for anything. Either 10 minutes early or perfectly on time. It's rude to be late.

I've got one mate who says: "I'll be down in 5 mins". I do be waiting for over half an hour. He has no sense of time.
And somehow I'm always exactly on time.

being late is fashionable as hell.

Exactly. The amount of times my flatmates wont go into college because they'll be 10 or 15 minutes late is ridiculous. Might not be great walking in 30 minutes late but if youre late youre late.

Always on time, except for meeting the lads in the pub or parties.
If I'm meeting just one other person it's rude to make them site there waiting just because I "just had to do something". Their time is just as valuable as mine.

Load of rubbish Biko. YOUR TIME IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANYBODIES. Stop being so generous with your words. People are starting to see you as a soft touch. Time to toughen up.

On topic Pigheads motto in life is
"Better late than never, but never late is better"
And before the chicks ask, yes Pighead is this deep in real life too.

Bad terminology...by "fault" I mean intentional.
Loosing his job was obviously his fault

Some people consider it as rude to be early as to be late. People always seem to recommend being 10-15 minutes early for a job interview but in reality it's putting pressure on whoever you're waiting for to drop what they're doing and go meet you.

If I have an appointment I'll try and be there a small bit early if I can (hypocrite = me), but if I'm meeting the lads, this being Ireland I'm usually not worried about being 10-15 minutes late because i'm usually still the first one there. I only have a couple of friends who are scrupulously on time so I'll do my best to be on time for them. Otherwise; meh.......

One of the lads is constantly late. We always try to tell him to meet us as early as possible before we're actually going to meet. Once we told him a film was starting 45 minutes before it actually was and he was still ten minutes late. You have to wonder what he was going to do - walk into the film with almost an hour gone and look for us?

It's situationally dependent IMO...I'm not the type that goes for formal interviews but if I'm meeting someone to price work for them or to discuss a job, I'll make it my business to arrive at least 5 mins early...more to ensure that I'm not late.
I can't think of any situation where it'd be considered rude to be early unless it's for something like an appointment with a professional, in which case it's my time and I'mpaying with my money, so basically I'll still do as I always do.
Socially it's not as important...when dealing with friends what's a few minutes either way...once it's not a habit like it getys to be with people who have a poor concept of time.

BTW saying "I'm never late" is an obvious inaccuracy...of course everyone is late sometimes through little fault of their own...back in school I was terrible at timekeeping but that's because I hated school...

I wouldn't say i'm late for everything, sometimes exactly on time, sometimes late. Depends on what it is.

I'm early for something important to me, and late for other stuff that's not so important. I'm late cause I'm doing stuff already, not cause i want to be on puposely late for something.

    Pretty much this.

I was 10 days late being born - started as I meant to go on :D
Never less than 10 minutes late for work, usually 15-20, but I often work on late so its not like they can say I don't put in the hours. Not a morning person at all.
Usually on time for buses and social occasions, although I was once an hour late for the first dance at my sister's wedding. The bridesmaid I was supposed to dance with wasn't too impressed :D:D

Being late is a sign of authority, always leave your friends/parters/familiy members waiting around.

    Shows them who's boss.
