Small Claims Court

I filed a small claim against someone on the second week of march.
I rang to check up on it about ten days later and was told it hadn't been sent to the four courts to be stamped yet. (the one guy they have to stamp them was "away on holidays"). I said fine and rang today to see what was happening and was told it hadn't been stamped yet again and to ring back in 3 or 4 weeks time.

This seems slightly ridiculous to me. Has anyone else had the same or a better experience going through small claims?
