meteor sms email gateway stopped working?

    I used to use the meteor sms email gateway (yournumber@sms.mymeteor.ie) to forward my gmail to my mobile (for free!). But it stopped working about a week ago. Has anyone else noticed this?

    I was trying to use it for the first time today and it failed.

    Anyone got a workaround?

    This does not work:

    You're right, thanks!

    Getting email forwarded as mms everytime tho is a bit of a nuisance, I'd prefer a free text message solution, haven't found anything yet.

    Yah, it's been not working for me too. The MMS one (in my experience) is intermittant at best and at lot of stuff is delayed in getting to you or not at all.

    Hi All,

    In my own opinion SMS-MAIL, MMS-MAIL & vice versa may be a on & off issue for a while, Meteor are currently changing and adjusting APN's and VoIP services to HSPDA, this will take some time and it is currently affecting people using Meteors ISP APN(mostly iPhone users), a permanent fix for this is change the APN to data.mymeteor.ie, username/password etc is the same, hope this helps.
