I've added Tom's option to the poll.

In honour of my avatar, and because it will go with my new Kona shorts, I think I have to vote for option 1

Wait now, is it that if you vote for Options 1 or 4 we get cash from Cullens Bookkeeping Services, if we vote for 2 or 3 or Tom’s we don’t get that cash?

    Just curious.

Do you have the original sized image?
I only see the thumbnail sized image that is 4.5k (not 167kb as mentioned in the image).

I'm leaning toward option 2, though the light blue is compelling.

    Yep!
It's basically two different designs, and the option of sponsorship or not

TinyExplosions - can you list the jersey costs with and without the CBE support.

I was just thinking, could we do a poll with a preference option, like an Irish election? That way if one's first preference doesn't win their later preferences still count.

Afraid I can't, as it depends on the final numbers ordering. As it stands, we're getting 300 quid from Boards, and maybe 135 from CBE. Whatever is left after the design costs will (I reckon) be split evenly between the amount of jerseys ordered (not shorts or anything else), and then taken off the cost price.

I think that's the fairest way of doing it, but if anyone has other suggestions, fire away!

Cool! I voted before I checked the poll results and see I'm in the majority...there's a first time for everything I suppose.

All good designs btw, well done all.

Just a thought, is mkdon happy with the representation of his logo in design 1 and 4? I mean it started out in color, and now it has been made into monochrome to fit the color scheme....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 766 ✭✭✭mkdon05

Yea I'm happy enough with that. If the original logo was used it would cost more than what i'd be putting in, so it makes sense to monochrome it.
Must say i Like Toms late addition!

Apart from the ad, the rear of the right sleeve is diff between option 1 and 2. Is that a 'typo' or intentional?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,246 ✭✭✭Hungrycol

Irish election: If you don't like the option chosen ask the electorate to vote again until they choose the option you want them to choose ;)

    From http://www.fcarvalho-ciclismo.com/clo/index.php
These prices do not include VAT (21%). If your company is VAT registered then you will not be charged VAT however, as the kit will be sold as an export.
Anyone have a VAT registered company? Is it as simple as placing the order via that company to 'save' 21%?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 68,317 ✭✭✭✭seamus

    Heh, no. If only :D

VAT is only payable on goods which are sold for consumer purposes. So when a business buys a product for business use, they do pay the VAT on it, but then they later reclaim the VAT from Revenue. So business prices are always quoted ex-VAT, but products will still have VAT on them when purchased.

That's what I thought - I was thrown by the wording on the site.

I just emailed the shirt people about getting a baby jersey. She said that a mini jersey is provided free with one's first order. Can I have/buy our mini-jersey? If we have 10 that would like a mini jersey we could add it to the order.

I'm ok with that. Once we have a design chosen, and ready to go with Carvalho, there'll be (yet another!) thread where you can finalise your orders, and order anything at all you want (Downhill jerseys, jackets etc), and anything there's over 10 orders on will be made... we're nearly there I think :)

Looking forward to getting the jersey but I'll have to cancel my order of bib shorts. Have to buy some club shorts and use the cash for these instead.

will everything be sold as a package or can we buy each item seperately.

Everything is separate, you can get just one jersey, or a whole rake of stuff!

Looks like option 1 is getting more votes than Robert Mugabe.

What's the thing on the left hand side, underneath the words 'Manga Comprida'.

    Arm warmer?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,860 ✭✭✭TinyExplosions

Afaik it's the detail for the long sleeve jerseys/ possibly arm warmers as Ken said

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,278 ✭✭✭kenmc

    Doh!
Manga Comprida is the portugese for 'Long Sleeve' according to the babel. :D

I voted #1, with the Cullen Bookkeeping, more from the point of mkdon's support than the (marginal) difference to the final jersey cost. If it is not going to boost the jersey cost (colour wise) and is tastefully integrated (cycling jersey and tasteful being a bit of an oxymoron) then I appreciate the gesture.

Pretty much... basically, I think there's a clear winner so option 1 is the one that we are going ahead with
