Not sure if im in the right place but ill give it a go...

At the moment im on a course (fas basic computers)after doing 15 odd years in construction (unskilled), and at the moment im unemployed. So ive applied for a part time job this is about 20 hours a week so I probably wont be paying much tax if any. what I was going to do is sign my tax credits over to my wife to be jointly assesed and my question is....
If were jointly assesed how much could we earn between us before we pay tax at the higher rate?

    Cheers

    www.revenue.ie

Check that before you knock the lights out.

And the internet superhighway has a nifty thing called a "search engine" In fact it has many of them - you might try that before getting snotty

Not really surprised that you cannot get a job that pays enough to support your family with an attitude like that.

Anyway best of luck sorting out your tax - try a bit of patience and manners when you are talking to the Revenue Commisioners
