IPOD/MP3 player connector wire to Alpine Head unit

I have an Alpine CD player in my car that’s IPOD ready (and I have the IPOD connector wire) but the problem is I don’t have an IPOD, I have an iriver mp3 player. Does anyone know where I could get an adaptor wire or is there a method I can use to get my iriver working in the unit?
