Here is a handy site for anyone who will be jetting off soon or a frequent traveller.

    http://www.seatguru.com/

You can view seating plans by airline and find out if your seat is good or bad before you go......or you can check out which are the good seats and ask for a specific seat when you call the airline / agent to book.

I have no affiliation with this site and I am not trying to get some cheap advertising:) I have used it myself a few times and just thought I would share the small piece of knowledge I carry around with me :)

Some of my better travel links if needed

www.kayak.co.uk (now a UK site but works well for long haul)
www.seat61.com (use them for the sail rail stuff)
#Side note, it is almost always cheaper to buy a sail rail than a single from anywhere to any port and a sail rail can be used on any train in the UK.
For example, london to Liverpool before 9am - £119, sail rail £39 + single from crewe £11.
Transport Direct All forms of public transport in the UK, very good.
www.skyscanner.net - The engine behind all the regional sites, beware they are good for comparison but book direct as they ADD a commision.
www.laterooms.com - Not as good as they used to be but still worth checking.

I've always found www.hotelsrus.com to be far cheaper than any other hotel booking site and all bookings include breakfast!
