Think this is the place to put it since I'm not a secondary school student and asking past pupils for their experiences...

So what d'oh moments do you remember students in your class making when in secondary school?
One that sticks out for me was German class in Leaving Cert year. We were reading a piece to ourselves and the page gave some translations of words at the bottom of the page. A guy down the back goes "Con science? Miss, what's con science?"
The genuine confusion is his voice has us all breaking our holes laughing. When the teacher told him it was "conscience" he went slightly red.
    Anyone got some good ones?

Walking in the school gates one morning, looked down and I had 2 different shoes in.

It was very traumatic at the time!

Mate of mine got up one morning, got dressed, took the bus into his school in town, and then at the door realised that there was no school that day.

I once walked the whole way to school with my jumper (v neck with crest on the FRONT) on backwards! I did wonder why people were looking at me funny and giggling whilst I was on my way ... :(

I also when asked to read aloud from a book in science or something read masturbate instead of menstruate, it was an all girls school and received one or two sniggers much to my embarassment!

I was walking up the stairs at school and my best friend was far behind me. When I got to the top, I ran until I reached a turning. I turned and hid. When I heard her walk up to where I was I jumped out and yelled, "BOO!" But it wasn't my friend, it was the headmistress. Luckily she was a good sort and I didn't get in trouble.

The classic came from my friend in Biology where the teacher was drawing on the board and he shouted "that women on the telly had an organism!"
