Which camera to get (first-time buyer)

    Hi all

    I'm getting my first digital camera and I'm on quite a low budget. I was looking at the Samsung Digimax S800 (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/142541/show_product_overview)

    And also the Vivitar Vivicam 8625 (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/143333)

    Both are 8 Megapixel - the Vivitar is a bit cheaper, and has 6x optical zoom where as the Samsung is only 3x. But Samsung is a better brand and has higher fps for videos. So which should I go for? I'd like to use it as a camcorder as well as a camera.
