Watched the first of these off the rte website. The one broadcast last night is not up yet.

Really enjoyed the first one one foxes and lamprey and esp the bit where yourman from mayo described the 2 male corncrakes of having a "bit of a shamossle" to gain the attentions of the female. Well you wouldnt hear that outta David attenborough

    Wonderful stuff

Excellent that they're on the rte website. I've been working when they're on and my other half keeps forgetting to record them  .

I caught last nights one. It lacks the polish of the BBC productions but has really appealed to me by the sincerety of the presenter and the people who show him around. The guy showing him the bat roosts was a very funny but dedicated bloke... let's hope the show lasts a long time.

I've been lucky enough to see a few basking sharks up close...absolutley massive. We really don't know what we have on this island in regards nature so shows like this are fantastic. Hopefully it continues for some time.

Love the fact its a show based on Irish wildlife but I don't like the presenter and the fact its so short.

Saw a couple of minutes of it as I was running past the TV, thought it was great. Will keep a few minutes aside for it next week.

The next one includes some footage that was shot on a "Mushroom Hunt" held at Avondale House last autumn. I was there when the film crew were filming and there's a chance my ugly mug might appear on your screen, so beware :)

Watched it last night and must say I did enjoy it. Yes, its less polished, but I like how they use someone from the locality to join in. I think that sometimes nature programes can be flat because the sun is always shining and everything is pretty and pronounced properly..

Look at the guy who went out in the boat with the presenter, that guy had so much character. Imagine the stories that guy could tell...

Its nice to see people from the locality contribute as they add a richness to programs with their sayings and local accents.
