...just got the complete box set on DVD, all three series, the Christmas Special and 2 extras - €28 in Virgin.

Great show, had forgotten just how good it was. Maybe not a laugh every minute, but clever and dark, and with the odd laugh out loud moment. It was just so well crafted.

Any other fans out there? Anyone know what the creators are up to now? Any chance of another series? What were the viewing figures like in its day?

I bought a barometer off e-bay yesterday so I'd have somewhere to put my shoes in my new flat.

Just take new-road and you'll get right there.

LoG series 1 and 2 are consistently strong. To agree with popular opinion 3 is weak. I actually defended 3 after first watch but upon a rewatch I could really see that there's not much going on there. The layered idea was novel but it's let down by the fact that the characters don't work outside of a sketch format. Something that was demonstrated amply with the subsequent movie which was awful.

Always said series 1 excellent, series 2 good, series 3 lost the plot completely.

But after watching it again, must say series 2 was excellent too. Still find series 3 a bit much though.

I love the show. Papa Lazarou is brilliant - a very popular character, despite the few episodes has in, Dave. The Christmas specials were very good as well.

I've seen a few re-runs recently - was there always a laugh track?

Laugh track used in series 1 and 2.

Ah right, I wasn't too sure. I don't think it adds anything at all - it's a bit like having it for The Office.
