    Hi all,
Speaking of updates, my ibook wont let me do the software update. Its saying "Networking error has occured- Error NSURL erroe domain -1100." I'm connected to the internet and is working grand so I dont get what the problem is. Similarly, it wont let me connect to the Itunes store. I've tried rebooting but still the same. Any suggestions?

Are you sure it's just itunes and software update with the problem? What browser do you use? Is Mail connecting ok?

As far as I can tell, they're the only problems so far. Sorry correction, my dashboard isn't coming up right at all either, its all jumbled up on the screen. I use Firefox, safari doesnt work quite right. Dont use the mail on this.

There's a problem with your network settings. I reckon none of your apps can connect to the internet. It's not affecting Firefox because it doesn't use the network locations in OSX. Firefox is really a windows app and ignores a lot of OSX's built-in features.

Have a look in System Prefs > Network and see if anything is amiss. The network location might have been changed (try setting it automatic) . If not there's most likely a problem with your dns/proxy settings.

Did this problem only start recently?
