I've been offered a Trace Elliot Super Tramp Twin for 300 euro, now my heart been set on a Vox AD50VT 212 for a while now but the guy in the store was telling me there made by zoom and are pretty poor.

I'm looking for an amp that can keep up with a drummer but can still be played at a sane level in my house.

As I've mentioned before I know NOTHING about amps so I really need the help lol. Any opinions here? Should I go with the Trace Elliot/ AD50VT or another amp all together? I play mainly old stuff, think 60's/70's and then qotsu muse oasis stuff like that.

    Thanks!

I don't know much about the Trace Elliot but it does sound like the "salesperson" is trying to get rid of it on to you. Try it and if you like it offer 250. If he says no then walk! Wait for your Vox.

Yeah he said he'd give it to me for 2 weeks to check it out, just working on the deposit at the moment. I'm crap at decision making... This time next week I'll probably end up with both :(

i had the vox ad50vt,great starter amp, loads of sounds to get you started plus the effects are fairly decent as well.the only draw back i found with it was that i could not stop fiddeling with it(not that i could not find a sound that i liked, but there was to many options on it)anyway that might be your thing.but over all its great amp.

LOL. I think i know the history of that supertramp ..if the shop selling it is musician inc then i'm fairly sure its a definite the same amp. not a bad amp fairly basic ok tone fair bit of horsepower but the one i know of was faulty when it went into the shop ...and had a lot of mileage on it too ;) i'd go for the new vox valvetronix a lot more range of sounds fx etc and it wont go bang after a week. well....shouldnt:D
