    Open Internet explorer

In the address bar type 192.168.1.1

    Username: admin
    Password: password

This should bring you to the netgear setup page

Click Wireless settings on the left

Scroll to the end Select WPA-PSK

Enter an ecryption key over 8 cracters long

    Click Apply

Re-establish the wireless connection on the PC all ok then
