He did say: "Don't mean to sound rude".

I guess some people will have some difficulty with your particular style of grammar.

Well, look at the very first word you wrote:

    What is that?

This isnt like talking. You dont get to repeat yourself if someone doesnt understand it. People have to understand it the first time.
Take some care in writing your posts and you will have a much better response.
Ok, rather than educate some people attack, but the message is the same.

Spelling is not particularly important, most people understand it, the structure of your sentences and grammar is very important though.

Only the first letter of a sentence has a capital for instance. Capitalising the first letter of every word throws the eyes write off and is extremely hard to read.

Not everyone here are geeks, but people will respond less aggressively if a post is comfortable to read.

My post was to help you, but you don't take constructive criticism very well. I suggest you call UPC again, and I would definitely suggest you dont use the same tone as you do in this thread.

please dont comment on any of my threads again,

The only way to stop people commenting on your threads is not to post them in the first place.

And I DON'T mean to sound rude.

    Alan,

If you don't like the service from UPC I recommend that you cancel. Nothing you say or do will make them change.

To everyone who posts questions here,

Boards.ie has taught me a lot so much so I'm regarded as an expert on TV and Sat stuff by my friends and colleagues, thanks to almost everyone here who has posted. (A lot of information I found simply by using the search function)

BUT remember that any advice given here is FREE, there is no obligation on anyone here to help you. Members of Boards.ie spend their free time helping others, they're not paid so why should they have to put up with unnecessary hassle?

If you don't want to take the time to phrase your question carefully and abide by the guidelines for punctuation etc. (if you are able to post here, you should be able to follow them), then I suggest you hire a professional instead.

Whenever I do a job for someone I always charge an awkward customer extra to compensate for the extra time involved, and if a customer is willing to compromise on a minor detail that makes the job easier I charge less.
It's my time and I charge a lot for it!
