Apologies if this seems spammy but we figure this will be of interest to all.

As of late all the large Irish music forums that promoted tout free trading have for one reason or another stopped allowing people to trade tickets or severely limited the gigs they will list to certain promoters.

Well we've had enough of the only place to get resold tickets being sites that allow huge profits be made on them and we've got together and made our own site with the intention of allowing Irish music fans to buy and sell their tickets at cost price (and below) only!

You can find us at http://www.toutless.com.

At the moment its just a simple forum but we're hoping it will do the job to start off with and if we see enough interest we are going to start expanding it into a proper site with fancy features and the like. One day it might even service other countries.

We hope you like the idea and if you've any suggestions or comments about the site please feel free to comment. Also we'd appreciate any good word of mouth you want to throw our way so if you've friends looking for tickets at face value or if they wish to sell some spares to an audience of real music fans send them our way.

    The Team @ toutless.com

Stickied, since this helps with the people trying to sell tickets against our rules.

Best of luck guys, I for one will be using it when selling

i dont like that site (its layout is wierd) why cant adverts.ie sell tickets?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,834 ✭✭✭Toast

Adverts wont allow listings because of the ban discussed in the other sticky. If youve any constructive comments about what you dislike about the toutless layout I'll be happy to take them on board for when we get around to redesigning the site.

Isn't the site layout based on the hugely popular phpBB?
The most popular and well-known bulletin board online?
Seems like all new users would already be familiar with its features (pms, inbox, profiles, boards, posting and so on).
Perhaps you just need to spend a little more time on that particular site, or just a little more time online in general?

Just sold 2 Billy Bragg tickets for tonights concert in Vicar st - couldn't go but at short notice (24 hours) and with tickets (but not great seats) still on sale, offered them 2 for 1 and got a buyer.
    Thanks toutless.com- Excellent site.

Was looking for Springsteen tickets and I seen some on Gumtree that were extortionate, 2 standing tickets for 300 (nearly twice the price and seller would not negotiate). I had been thinking of a way of getting back at touts, let me know if this is a good idea. I thought I could advertise concert tickets and sell them at face value or less but include the tout's phone number in the hope that the tout would be bombarded with lots of phone calls from prospective buyers. By the way I do have tickets for Sunday night so it's not like I missed out, I just hate touts that's all.

Yup down at the moment I'm afraid. We've to reinstall the software from scratch. The DB is backed up though so we are not anticipating any data loss but having to take things slowly to not make any more mistakes. Hoping to be back up in a couple of hours or so.

I won two tickets to an expensive concert recently that I don't plan on going to(unless I can't sell them). Is it possible to sell these tickets even though they are marked as 'Complimentary'?

    Thanks

why not put that in your advert - you won tickets and want to sell them on (at face value)

I have sold on toutless .... my problem is that it seems like there are touts buying tickets on toutless....so they will buy at face value and sell on the night (making their profits)

I love toutless.com, ive used it a couple of times and have gotten such great value and can usually find tickets for gigs from nice genuine people at a good price :)

Can anyone tell me some other sites to post Tickets for sale' ads on please? I've posted on toutless.com, but with no response yet; I need to put them on a few sites to make sure of selling them.

    Thanks

With the way tickets are scanned now, as in they are bar-coded is there any chance of being scammed on this site with fake tickets??? I'm hoping to get a ticket for muse:D:D

It is possible but we've not had reports of this type of scamming happening. We've information on it here but in general if you meet someone and get some details off them that can be verified to protect yourself the odds are pretty low.

As random ticket adverts continue to crop up on this sticky I will be locking this, looks like the thread title is misleading uninformed posters.
