I'm still fighting the Urge to buy the King Arms FAL PARA (KA-AG-03)
uncompany.com are selling them for 154 Euros (not including tax and shipping)
Only problem is some sites are listing them at 320fps some sites as 328fps
and some sites at 330 fps which is 2fps over the limit with a .2g BB.
I can confirm that the My FAL Chrono'd within the Legal Limit and I got mine from
uncompany. ehobby list them as 328fps I think.

I used both the old wooden stocked ones and the newer ones.
If its the Black furniture ones you will be trying to match it
to the Imbel FN I think.
    http://www.pbase.com/wyk/image/11813556
    http://www.imbel.gov.br/imagens/86.jpg

I dont see an FAL aeg yet to match it exactly.

    The KA-AG-02-TC comes pretty close.
But there is no carry handle, the barrel is a little short and
the front foresight protectors are skeleton style.

You could buy the KA-AG-02 full length
and change the Flash Eliminator, and the Handguard
to make it more like the Imbel but thats a lot of hassle.

KA have an SLR in the works but it was delayed for a re-design.

I Love Stars SLR but its pricey and its Hot so would need a downgrade
and its semi fire only. I dunno why they would have a 9.6V battery in an AEG that only has single fire!!!!! The Handguard on it looks great. The detail behind the trigger
is good. But you would need to change the flash eliminator, cocking lever, and fire
selector switch. Hand the handguard only has 2 air vents.
There was a mention the the Battery needed on the STAR SLR is a "special battery"

Changing the handguard is easy. Just a little expensive to get the parts. As for the flash eliminator, I haven't come across a solution as of yet. The threads are different.

Just bought the scope rail for it myself last night. One step closer to a Trilux :D

Imbel as far as I know were the later models that came into Ireland... for the original look you would need a wood stock and the grenade sites attached to the gas plug.

Yeah the story I got at the time the new ones arrived was that
they were part of an arms shipment seized from some Ship that was
    destined for the Ra boys.

The Old ones that had the Grenade Sites were great but the barrels were burnt out
as they were so old. The newer ones could be a bitch to field strip as the gas plug was
tight and the breech block and side were new and the body locking lever needed that
extra bit of pressure behind it to open. A Joy to shoot though.

Kinda OT but my mate was asking today what primarys do the PDF use? I know rangers and cadets use Augs but what else? Trying to keep him away from an SA80/L85(*shudder).

I think wikipedia list all the weapons the Irish Army uses. Theres some cool ones on there, like the AUG A3 and HK33.

    Ohh, yes they do: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modern_weapons_of_the_Irish_Army
But only the Aug is listed in terms of Assault Rifles.
