Presume it's a macbook, what's the price or are my eyes failing to spot the price?

Wait until you go to the USA, definitely.

You'll be able to pick up a 2.4Ghz Macbook (or even a Blackbook!) with 2gb RAM & a bigger HDD, new.
With the dollar as weak as it is now, it should be same or even cheaper (put the USD amount into Google, it'll convert for you)

be aware the prices on the apple site don't include US sales Tax. It can be anywhere from 0-12% ....But i'd agree wait till you get to the states....it'll be cheaper

I bought a new MacBook last month, model MB403LLA, added 2g's so total 4g's in usa for $1569 inc sales tax, worked out at 1050euro
