Timber frame extension to traditional constructed house

    I am going to build a 2 storey extension to side of and single storey to rear of my house.It is possible to use timer frame when the original house is briick/block construction?

    It is possible. We put a 40 sq. m timber framed extension onto a block house about 4 years ago. The frame will have to made on site as the prefabricated manufacturers are only interested in doing full houses - its not worth their while setting up a jig for an extension.
    Worked out slightly cheaper than doing a traditional block wall.
