Anybody had any experience of Etihad?, thinking of booking to go via AbuDhabi, Pearl Business Class may be an option.
    Thanks!

Do a search on this forum forum for Etihad - they've been mentioned quite a few times here in relation to trips like this :)

I went to Bangkok with Etihad last November via Abu Dhabi and found them very good. All flights were on time, there's a huge tv screen in economy and an excellant selection of in flight entertainment. The business class looks excellant if you have the money.

I have to say the plane didn't look that new, the food tray wasn't the cleanest. Also the temperature was damm hot esp on the flight over. The crew were all very nice and attentive although I'd still give the nod to Singapore airlines for pure attention to detail.

I hope you won't be waiting too long for transfers in Abu Dhabi airport, there's shag all in it and I found it hard to kill 2 hours in the place.

Overall Etihad offer very good value for money in economy, I don't know how competitive they are on business and above. To me the best airline is still Singapore but I've heard very good things about Emirates too.

Just before Christmas, I did Oz with Etihad going out Dublin – Abu Dhabi – Singapore –Brisbane and return Sydney - Abu Dhabi – Dublin.
Overall very happy. Food good and in-flight entertainment system was the best I have seen of any airline in economy – all seats (on all 5 flights) had a personal TV screen and lots of on-demand movies. Only down side is that Abu Dhabi airport is awful and there is nothing to do.
