    The deal is expected to be done this week, with confirmation possibly coming as early as later today.

    Last month's Independent story confirmed that the UTV board was to meet today and ratify the purchase.

    The deal has been passed by UTV shareholders. It looks like UTV will be making an announcement tomorrow to the effect that it now owns FM104.

    Further to the announcement on 18 December 2007 of the proposed acquisition of FM104, UTV announces that the resolution to approve the Acquisition was duly passed by the requisite majority at the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company, held at 12.00pm (noon) today.

    Completion of the Acquisition is expected to take place on 10 April 2008.

    Terms used in this announcement shall have the same meaning as defined in the circular dated 20 March 2008.
