bad bbc reception on FTA box

    Hi

    At the moment i'm getting terrible BBc reception on my freeview box
    I've realigned it and renewed the channel list. But at the moment
    the only channels i receive perfect reception on is
    Sky News CNN ITV1 and a few of the other channels but BBc 1-4 are all blocky and Film 4 and Film 4+1 just don't appear.
    I've even tried another box that i bought from aldi this week, with no luck

    I've turned off my phone base station and wireless broadband after reading a few of the other posts here but it doesn't help.

    any help appreciated

    Have you tried the regional bbc varients? If they're ok your dish alignment is probably slightly off.

    Could be an LNB skew issue. Try twisting the LNB clockwise a few degrees (as you look at the dish from the front). You may need to loosen it first, depending on the type of dish/LNB mount you have.

    Google "LNB skew" if you need any more information.

    Is is the small Lidl (black) dish? I found that one very hard to align perfectly, and thick cloud/rain will also affect it.

    Are you using a sat finder to align it? It would be almost impossible to align just with the receiver.

    biologikal thanks that did the trick, i rotated the LNB a few degrees and
    all the channels are displaying perfectly. Didn't know the LNB
    had to be aligned a certain way

    PauloMN I'm using an older dish from aldi which 80cm.

    I put the new twin LNB onto it.
    I have to say the current package was worth the €80
    You get everything,dish receiver, a ton of cable and connecters and a small
    sat finder, although i used my old sat finder which has leds.
    And i like the receiver as it displays what programme is showing and whats on next for some of the channels
