Nuisance calls from nigerian numbers I think

    Hi, I'm getting a good few calls they stop after one ring . On Monday night at 5 in the morning I got 6 of them and i have one of those loud Nokia rings. The calls woke the kids. Tonight I had 5 texts. The numbers showing up are +2348058584581 and +02348088467721. When I checked site for long distance calling from Ireland the Nigerian cellular phone code is 23480. Now this is the weird thing when I got the call on Monday night/morning I saved the number on my phone and the name I gave it was Ian, now when the texts came in tonight it flashed on the phone that Ian was calling but when you open the text the 2 numbers come up. Why is that? Has anyone ever heard of these type of calls and why are they so stupid as to leave their number on?

    I was just looking around the net and I think I found my answer on askaboutmoney.com.... Thanks to me I guess Its a nigerian scam thing I think. I'd love to know where they got my mobile number for.

    That's an odd coincidence - I just got a text from a number starting with +23 today - didn't have a chance until now to check what country it was. If the feckers ring me I'll be going to Nigeria on spammer safari!

    I'm going with you... Was knackered Monday for work and freaked out from about 9 tonight until I figured out what it was . Why don't they get a proper bloody job. Let me know when your going. I get all dressed in nice Safari gear
