Don't take this personally folks, but some 'classics' are prone to leaving an occasional oil stain. Any tips for removing them? I tried power washing which got rid of the heavy stuff but the black marks are still there.

Is your drive concrete? If so you could get physical with a sander and heavy duty zero grade paper. Then cover the area with masonary paint

I used to use neat washing powder brushed into the oil (on a concrete driveway) - if it was left for a couple of days then it could be washed off leaving little or no residue. Cobblelock may be more porous but there are lots of proprietary solutions available in the car section in the likes of Woodies that'll do the job (Kleenaway rings a bell for some reason)

    Thanks everyone,
Some great ideas there. I will start with the bleach, if that doesn't work try the washing powder and failing all that get the sander out !
    Cheers

The big DIY / Hardware stores will have stuff for cleaning oil off driveways. It would be labeled as a 'degreaser'

Personally I've always viewed the space outside my house as a canvas for my cars to express their own form of 'modern art'

Not when it's a Toyota Starlet pissing out oil everywhere. Each to their own I guess!

OP what material is your drive made of ?

I suspect from what you say that it is not tarmac.

Tarmac drives can be broken up very easily by certain agents so be careful. I had a slight petrol leak years ago and it just dissolved the binding of the tarmac where it spilled on to it.
