Meteor Problem - My Meteor Manage YOur Account

    Login to your account on www.meteor.ie

    On the left there's an option to "Change Details".

    I fill in all my new details

    Then I click change details.

    The changes never show up. It always stays as the original.

    I've been on to Meteor and they've told me that no one else has reported the same problems and that they can change things manually for me.

    They tell me if should all be working fine.

    Is anyone else having the same problems as me?

    yeah that happened to me. As i understand it, you fill in the details and then they manually change it later on. Sometimes they don't bother i suppose

    Thats only the first step. Once this is filled out it goes onto the system and each change of details has to be manually approved by the representative.

    There could be huge lists of online registrations awaiting approval. Depending on the back log yours could be processed in 5 minutes, then again it could take 5 days.

    If you have left out any information required you will be sent a text saying that you need to fill out the form, on occasion you probably won't get this, depending on the representative of course.

    If you need it done urgently call customer care and it will be done while your on the line.

    I should mention that I'm a billpay customer. I'm updating my alternative phone number and my email address so I don't see where they could need further verification (i.e. I'm not changing the name or address!).

    I've waited minutes, hours, days and weeks and it never has once gone through.

    I'm aware I could do it on the phone, I'm just trying to find out who else is having these problems with the website.

    I think my hubby has done this online with Vodafone, and one call back form Vodafone, to verify details.

    It's nothing to do with verification. The system won't allow the registration to be processed unless all key fields are entered. As long as you have filled in the required fields you should be fine.

    You are only allowed to change certain details on a bill pay account anyway. For example you can't change the name on the account.

    Should be fine, yes. This is why I'm trying to find out if anyone has done it successfully on billpay or if the system is just flawed.
