Can the MBA use a CD/DVD drive that's not the Apple MBA Superdrive add on? I can't find a definitive answer and need to sort out a drive for my mother asap. Thanks for any replies.

i believe that any usb drive should work, in fact i'm certain of it

The point of the MBA's (exclusive-use) Superdrive is that it doesn't need an external power adapter.
