ground noise..?

    iv just bought a pair of powered speakers .a usb ready mixer ,and my laptop ,connected them all up and are working great as i thought untill i plugged my laptop in to the mains ..as i do this im picking up alot of ground noise, plugged my laptop out and let it run on the batteries and all is great again, the only down fall is the batt will only run for an hour or so ..is there a certain switch box ,,or direct box or any thing that works for u that you can help me with as its a pain the arse that i can only play for an hour .any help ?:(

    rewire your laptop charger with no ground wire
    get a di box with ground lift

    i was recording music into a friends laptop and noticed that when the laptop was "plugged in" to the mains i got a "HUM" noise.....


    we plugeed the laptop out from the mains and there you go.....no hum....




    Bah humbug!


    this may be your problem.....
