Satellite Dish Problem - LNB Not Sitting Right - Image Attached

I thought that my satellite dish was out of alignment, but I've been looking at it and see if there's any difference with the neighbours dish.

I've attached a picture, and if you look at where the LND connects to the arm of the dish, it looks like it's hanging out....

You reckon this could be the cause of me losing my signal ??

Have a look and let us know what you think :-)

    Cheers

    IJ

Yes definitely a problem, that plastic clip should be all the way inside the rectangular bar.

Has the metal arm actually split at the end??

No it's just the sleeve that should be inside the metal arm.

Thanks lads for the answers - gonna try pop it back inside, see if that'll fix the problem :-)

    Cheers

Yeah, maybe use a cable-tie to hold it back in place. Also, put some self-amalgamating tape on that connection, though maybe check for moisture ingress or corrosion before doing so.

There's probably a hole somewhere on the length of the arm and also on end-piece-that-has-slipped-out, that are supposed to be lined up when fitted together properly, and some sort of plastic pin/dowel should be through both to hold in place. Over time this has probably become cracked/brittle with the elements, and sheared off on a particularly blustery day.

Should be easy enough to find something suitable to fit the job, if this is the case.

Yup, like a cable-tie. I should've been a bit clearer in my previous post, as to where to put the cabletie.
