can you keep your custom avatar?

Quick question, after your subscription expires, can you keep your custom avatar? Only mine is not showing up :cool: I guess not?

I don't think there is a way to automatically remove it once the subscription expires but if a passing admin or smod notices it they may remove it.

Ah but it's one of the benefits of being a subscriber.

Maybe, if people just want customer avatars, they could just pay a set fee to have one and not get the whole subscriber package?

The few extras that a subscribers gets are really there for subscribers only, once you cease strictly speaking the additional features should cease with the exception of the name change, however we do not strictly enforce this policy at this time.

If some users still have the custom avatars after their sub has ceases I do not think you would be any different, in fact I can see a trident like Avatar attached to yours. Its disappearence may have to do with something technical rather than the lapsing sub status - then again maybe not:)

My customer avatar is still there even though my sub is long since expired.

I understand where Vex is coming from with the above. A subscriber is paying for a service, which includes custom avatars, so when that subscription is up technically so should the custom avatars.

Personally, its not that huge a deal to me if I get to keep it or not. But with that being said, part of the reason I sub'd was the custom avatar and i'm sure I would subscribe again in order to change it again. But I don't think i'd pay the current subscriber rates month in month out just for the added custom avatar - this was the main use of my subscription. (really took advantage of that huh!)

I'd be willing to pay a nominal amount (no more than €10 personally) for the ability to change my avatar at will... but then if that is introduced where does it stop? Do all subscribers extra features then get their own price for non subscribers?

Sounds grand, I expected to lose it anyway, it's just weird the way it stays attached so I wanted to clarify it

You get 3 blue stars when you reach 1000 posts (I think it may only be 500 posts). You get 4 blue stars when you reach 10,000 post.

You can be a subscriber but still have the blue stars. You just have to put yourself in the registered user group. I think in pigheads case though an smod changed it as a joke.
