I have been landed with a project & want to put the final output onto DVD.

Does anyone know if you can go to any print supply shops & get them to print something on the face of ten blank printable DVD disc's? I need them to look reasonably professionnel & would like to get a picture & some wording on the disc's face.

I don't think there are any shops that do DVD printing. Do you have a Lightscribe drive? If so, you might try using Lightscribe discs.

No I don't & time is short. If I have to I'll run with the crappy self adhesive one you print yourself, but only as a last resort.

Ouch. Paper labels can cause read errors on DVDs, I actually had some serious trouble with DVDs where a paper label had been put on them before I got them, if I were you I'd rather use old-fashioned disc-markers on the discs in preference to paper labels.

There's a couple of choices here.

Some of the Epson printers have a CD printing feature (you have to get printable CD/DVD's, but they're not too hard to find) The Epson's I think were the R200/R300 series and maybe there were a couple of others.

TDK also do a CD/DVD printer, but it's text only (using a ribbon). Very affordable (under €100) and gives a professional enough look.

    Hi,
Most of the Canon Pixma Range (apart from bargain basement models) have a facility to print directly onto printable CDs & DVDs.
The cheapest suitable model I can find is the Canon Pixma iP4300 @ €65 + vat.
    Results are very professional.
If you were closer to Donegal I'd offer to do the job for you!
