Strange TV problem until plugged out.. should I be worried?

Girlfriend was just watching that 'Fair City' muck and I said we'd watch some episodes of 'The X Files' on the XBox 360.

I turned on the XBox, popped in the disc, switched the TV on to the XBox extension.. and got a garbled frozen screen. I could make out the word 'Plasma' in big block capitals (like a logo). Tried restarting the XBox and it was the same. So said I'd look into resetting it online so when she switched back to RTE, that had frozen up too. We had to restart the TV and it seems fine now. XBox is fine when switched on now.

Though a bit worried now as it's a relatively new TV (bought last October)... is this just a freak occurance or the start of something more serious?

Oh, and in case it matters - the TV is a Sharp Aquos LC37XD1E if it matters.

EDIT: Sorry mods.. but this would probably be better suited to
'HE Video Displays & Projectors'. Move it there if you get a chance. Many thanks!

I presume you didn't take a pic of the problem. Strange how it would show "Plasma" considering it's an LCD!

Anyway, since there's so much computer tech in TV's these days, maybe it was just a software glitch. If it starts happening frequently though, then I'd get it seen to.

Fraid I didn't take a pic. Immediately after the problem, I was kicking myself that I didn't.

Yeah, I could make out the word 'Plasma' without doubt. It in big block letters as a logo in the top-left of the screen. Very odd!

Yeah.. that's what I reckon too. I opted for the extended warranty for 5 years (wasn't much extra) so at least I've a clear comeback for a while down the line.

    Cheers for that byte.

Could may very well have been a slight software/firmware issue that happened.
