Hey there, My leaving cert exam is coming up and i have applied for a FETAC level 5 psychology course in cork college of commerce and i am hoping that this will enable me to go on to study it in UCC. Now on the UCC website it says nothing about setting aside places for students with fetac certificats on the course i want to do, but on the the C.C.O.C site it says students have gone on to UCC to study psy. further
I know another route you can go down is doing it through an arts degree but that takes alot longer
I was just wondering how hard or easy is it to get on to courses with a fetac cert, and does anyone have any exp applying this way?
Also if you know of any uni's that do accept fetac certs that would be great to.
    Thanks for your help!
(Just to let you know there is no possible way i could get he 520 or so points needed to go down the direct route to study psychology as i am only doing 3 H.L. sujects)

NUIM accepts fetac courses, nearly 100% sure, it definetely accepts a course called "heritage ...." to get into Arts, cant remember the complete title. I think there is info about fetac courses in the front of the NUIM prospectus. Have u looked at the Access Course, i dont know it personally but some of my friends are on it. I think it lets you in to some courses even if you dont have the points, depending on your income. Your career guidance teacher at school could probably give you much more info then me.
Im no help regarding your UCC question but good luck!
