    hi,

    i am looking to get a upvc porch door, but unfortunately, i am on a tight budget 800-900euro, can anyone please recommend someone!!!! - the measurements are quite narrow, roughly 55" x 80" and i would need a letterbox, i live in the dublin 15 area and i would greatly appreicate some advice.................thanks

    suggest you try to charm some demolition worker - seriously , with a bit of partience and persistance you may get lucky

    It may be worth going to a local DG company and seeing if they have any "mismeasures" that may fit.

    Take a look at buy and sell or some local papers for secondhand doors, for some reason lately there has been a huge increase in people wanting to extend and modernise their houses, usually getting rid of white PVC doors and windows and replacing with timber, aluminium or black/timber look Pvc. I have done several already this year.

    Not so crazy a budget if you are fitting it yourself!
    I got a set of french doors for a mate from a manufacturer of such things in the greater tallaght area for 800 euro a year ago, called to factory and asked for a cash price. Decent doors too, none of your PnQ rubbish!!!!:eek:
    Price around, also heavily dependant on how basic a door you want of course.
    Salvage yards are good try posting in adverts.ie wanted section!
