Ram not being recognised - HELP!!

I have an ASUS P4P800 Deluxe mobo and am currently running 512MB PC3200 RAM. I just purchased 1GB x 2 PC3200 RAM from here: http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280211915008&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:IE:11

However when I place these two sticks of ram into the mobo and try boot up the pc, I dont get anything!! Monitor just stays blank. I tried one stick at a time and still no joy. Even tried clearing the bios as recommended but didnt help. The ASUS specs say that it should support DDR ram: http://www.hardware.info/en-UK/productdb/bGhkaZg/viewproduct/ASUS_P4P800_Deluxe/

As soon as i replace my original 512MB ram the pc boots up fine.

Any help/suggestions??

Sounds like dud ram to me. Contact the seller and ask for yoru money back. Might be worth trying the ram in a second machine to make sure.

^ yeah im gonna try it in another machine first then if that doesnt work return it.

One more thing... I installed PC Wizard on my machine to get some info about the ram. I have the new 1GB sticks in Dimm A1 and Dimm A2 and my original 512MB ram in Dimm B1 and the redouts are as follows:

(note: how come even tho it says both Dimm A1 and A2 are empty, its still showing info about each 1GB stick and showing my overall system ram as 2.5GB??)
