thinking of saying goodbye to wii

MMMMM. After much consideration i seem to be leaning towrds getting rid of my wii and opting for a ps3. I played one the other day and i have to say i liked it. Im getting sick of my wii lately. the games just arent that great. i play table tennis by rockstar and i get a very sore shoulder. madden is good, but loses it fun after a few weeks. mario just doesnt seem to do it for me anymore and by god has anyone tried bass fishing. thumbs down!!!! any views?

Mario Kart next month is reason enough for me. Guitar Hero and Mario Galaxy are good back up.

what would you get on a trade in?
smash bros & mario kart should surely be reason enough to hang on to it,
am loving no more heroes at the moment as well,
that, and the fact that the kids'd kill me if they couldn't get their daily dose of wario ware means that mine is going nowhere for a while yet,
the ps3 is tempting for the blu-ray though,

ye, i got a wii a while ago and hardly ever play it, sports was fun for a bit and metroid was good. i probably wont play it until Smash Bros is out whenever nintendo stop being a$$h0les and release it here,
Plus the online is a total Joke.
Its good fun at a party with super monkey ball or warioware but in terms of playing on your own or for hours on end its not happening.

i say stay away form the xbox and ps3 for a while, there hasnt been a really good game out for them since halo and there isnt much planned whereas the wii has a lot good games planned

From what I hear, Halo 3 wasnt even that good. GTA IV, though, looks tempting.

But I'm still staying a wii man till mario kart and smash bros are played to death.

PS3 is a pile of moo moo dung, fcuk that idea. I bought a 60jiggybite one and had it for approximately 17 days before I brought it back. Games are complete crap, Tony Hawks looks exactly like the version that came out on PS1, I can't even find words in the dictionary to describe how ****e resistance fall of man was.

There are currently 2 reasons to buy a PS3, a) Gran Turismo and b) Metal Gear Solid. Do you like either of these games?.

If not go out and buy an Xbox360, excellent machine, many class games though I still hate Micro$oft.

While i feel like a troll i accidently hit on this by accident, i would disagree that the xbox is better the the PS, the xbox is noiser, you know the way you can't hear anything over a blender?! Kinda sounds like that.
and give it time and the playstation will get better games, don't just buy it for a blu ray drive either.
THe xbox is good too, however i think it was rushed out to beat the PS3, its worked for the time being, xbox live is awesome.

You need a HDTV for the playstation/xbox to really shine, if you don't differences are tiny, all tony hawks games look muck but are fun to play.
The wii does appear to have the most fun games at the moment, but there is alot of reasons to buy any consoles.

The online Multiplayer on Halo 3 is immense. an xbox 360 is worth it for that alone.

PS3 is still waiting for that killer app, its pricey and a little lost in the market right now but I'm sure we'll see it find its feet, sony dont loose. And it has Blu-Ray which seems to have won the Hi def contest.

Wrong on so many counts.

Stevoman, if those are the only Wii games you've tried, don't get rid of it, just try the better games that are already out, and then Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros Brawl. For instance have you tried Resident Evil 4 on the Wii yet, or No More Heroes, or Trauma Centre, or Zack and Wiki? Okami is an excellent game, so definitely one worth getting when it's out if you haven't already got it for the PS2.

Wii + 360 is an excellent combo though, they bother cover different games, between the two of 'em you'll never get bored.

If you're getting rid, get an Xbox 360 because Xbox Live is a lot better than PSN, plus all the downloadable content for GTA IV will be on Xbox. And Gears of War 2 is out xmas

However, a lot of rumours coming out now saying Smash Bros could be released in May so Mario Kart + Smash Bros, both free online, will keep you busy the whole summer

I don't get this at all. I mean all these people giving you a list of games they think are great, it's subjective and all this thread is, is another 'Your consoles sucks, XBOX FTW WII SUX LOLOL PS3 IS DOGTURDZ' You should know what games you like by now, buy the console that has those type of games, simple really.

If you don't like the wii, just sell it. You shouldn't need people on the internet to vindicate your decision.

Got my Wii on Friday, been playing Mario Galaxy ever since, very disappointed to have to come in to work this morning.

As Regards the original posters intention to get a PS3, my advice would be to wait a while, I Know two guys who have PS3s and neither has yet bought a game for it. Simply because they haven't found one that looks worthwhile.

If you dont like the games on Wii, flog it, get an Xbox 360, Wait for Ps3 to sort itself out.

the xbox has gor quite cheap hasnt it!!!! although for internet gaming there is hidden costs!

Its dirt cheap these days, I was seriously considering it but ultimately I decided that I want to be playing, Mario, Zelda, Mario Kart and only a few others. Wont get that on Xbox. Mario Galaxy alone is worth it if you are a Mario fan like I am.

If you are into FPS or high res Racers, Xbox or PS3 is the way to go.
