anyone watch the Hughie green bio-drama on BBC4 last night. I thought Trevor Eve was excellent in it. Probably over focused on the Paula Yates stuff but it certainly made for good TV.

Yep watched it last night and like you OP thought trevor eve was exellent in the role of green .It was really good viewing and quite funny in parts .He (green ) had little or no morals when it came to women and seduced many of his female contestants from his shows over the years while his public persona was a perfect family man .

I laughed my head off when asked by Jess yates were he had being green replied '' screwing your wife '' and he wasnt kidding either ,he had just come from doing just that :D

When he heard Bob geldof swear on live aid i cracked up laughing when he ranted at his housekeeper '' that scruffy bog paddy has just swore on daytime tele when you shouldent swear on tele at anytime '' :D

An altogether sad pathetic figure who had a very high opinion of himself whlie looking down the nose of most he met .He was well past his sell by date in the mid 80s .Compulsive viewing :)

Taping the repeat right now - was not sure if I wanted to spend 90 mins in the company of a professional sh-i-te but the reviews have changed my mind.

Just watched it, fantastic performance from, Trevor Eve. If that doesn't bag him a BAFTA next year there's no justice. Facinating to see him consider various TV formats that his peers think of as unacceptable/odd/unworkable all of which seem to have become everyday fair.

His performance was fantstic indeed .Trevor Eve did his mannerisims so well that you could forget it wasn't really Hugie Green . Sombody mentioned to me that Green and Bob monkhouse were alike not only in looks but also mannerisims .I think so to
