RS kits and stuff

    Anyone have any experience with them?
    I have an Orville Les Paul custom that sits in the wardrobe due to microphonic pickups and 'on/off pots'- no taper in them at all.
    Was thinking of ordering one of these-

    ...and a decent set of pickups. Bareknuckles or something posh maybe. (Ill have to sell some gear first!!). Itll cost a few quid by the time I get someone to do the electrics for me-I can set up a Les Paul alright but not the electrics. I think it could be a scorcher of a guitar with the upgrades though.
    Anyone tried 'em or something similar?

    Yeah...they are well worth it...
    I had nothing but trouble with my Les Paul standard since I got it...
    I bought the 1950's upgrade kit from http://www.specialtyguitars.com/kits/lespaul.html
    and it sounds just awesome now....best 50 blips you'll ever spend man! :)

    Thanks Kranog, unfortunately the Orville is on adverts since buying a Matamp at the weekend!! Im tempted to keep it though and flog some other stuff instead, its a project that deserves doing. Good site that, good prices.
