2nd controller not working for 2player gran turismo 5

Just trying a 2 player but when you start the race the 2nd controller isnt doing anything at all (apart from PS button bringing up quit options).
Do i have to mess with a setting or anything??
I put in fifa & both controllers work fine.
Any advice?

Does controller 1 register as No 1 (red LED on controller), and similarly Controller 2 as No 2?

I mention that because many times, when I turn on the controller, it usually registers itself as number 2, and won't work ingame until I press PS button and re-register controller as No 1.

Is one of the controllers a dualshock 3?

Ive checked controllers & theyre 1 & 2.
No Dual shock on either (one is official other is logitecg)
they both will move & select the options on the main menu, even choosing the cars. Just when the race starts the logitech doesnt work at all (butits equivilant of the ps button does)

Cool where'd d you get Gran turismo 5 before release???:D:DI'd love a go at that:rolleyes:

I have the same problem with a gamepad and a joystick that works in all other games and in the menu, but not in races. I have read in other forums that the problem is the game thinks the controller is a steering wheel.
