Now that PS2 games are so cheap, I was thinking of getting a few. Anyone have any recommendations for must have games?

Thanks everyone. I've tried a good few mentioned already but I'll definitely give the other a go if I can find them.

I just finished playing my way through Conflict Desert Storm II again and really enjoyed, I would recommend giving it a go.

It wasn't, but it was still a good game.

Final Fantasy X and XII are also good, if don't mind losing a couple months of your life. Oh, and Okami as well.

Wasted a good amount of my life on FFX. Played FFXII but didn't really like it. I've started it again to try and finish it but meh...

Completely forgot about the MGS series. I remember wanting to get one but just never bothered. Definitely will try and find it since I've heard so many good things. So start with Snake Eater first?

    Noooooooooooo....... :-o

If you want to get the total MGS experience, play them in
order (MGS, MGS2 and then Snake Eater). The crazy storyline
is half the point of playing these games, imho....

    Seriously, nooooooooooooooooooo...... :-D

Yeah definately start with the first MGS, its the best one by a mile, I only said MGS3 because I thought you were just looking for ps2 games

just come in to point out at some point, should do the mgs3 then mgs and then mgs2 .

    or,mgs3,mgsOPS,mg,mg2,mgs1,mgs2...if you have ps2+psp+(gc)

    OT:
really depends on your taste OP,people can tell you lots of Must-buy ps2 games but youmay not find them you like them at all.for me i say dont miss them: ICO/shadow of Collosus ,fatal frame series, those very good but low sales RPG(including Okami ,Zone of Ender1/2 from kojima ),and my all time favourite ,classic of the classic ,capcom release the megamanX collection(till X6) in one disc for ps2!

If you're a fan of the matrix then definetly try out Enter the Matrix and Path of Neo

This game is crap imo, pure tripe altogether. I'd steer clear if I was you.

I never played this one but have heard its better than ETM. I have also heard the difficulty curve is a cliff face!

General point of interest when buying games: avoid movie licenses.

9 times out of 10, you're getting a rushed, unimaginative piece of drivel.

You better be either trolling, taking the piss of certified retarded or else I've lost all faith in humanity.

I know personal opinions are always right for the person giving them, but you are wrong :)

Sorry but I really have a deep personal hatred for that buggy mess of a piece of **** masquerading as a videogame.
