Why did they change the name? I was watching the 1990 running of the National & on the BBC graphic it stated 3.50 Liverpool

Bring it back to Liverpool & not Aintree

A traditionalist like yourself will probably want it moved to Maghull?

Aintree is a much better international identity than Liverpool which has far too much associated with it already. Aintree stands out on it's own, Liverpool just gets thrown in with 100 and 1 other Liverpool things both good and bad.
