I know something like this has being posted before but i couldnt find the thread.

Tried to play R:FOM and the disc wouldnt read. Took it out to have a look and there was a crack going from the centre of the disc out into the information. There is no way it got damaged outside the PS3 as it was in its box and I couldnt of cracked it the way it is by just putting it in its box.

Did the person who had the same thing happen them have any joy in getting their game replaced?

You should have your ps3 checked.

When my ps3 failed ,I was all over google looking for info. A few people complained that after they updated ,the ps3 damaged discs in the same way that you have mentioned.

BUT ,they also said they heard a noise from the drive aswell.

I didnt hear anything out of the ordinary.

Googled the problem myself doesn't look like SCEA will replace the game i have it to long to bring it back to the shop, I'll just have to ring SCEA and see if they'll do anything.
