Does anybody have one of these. Don't want to spend a fortune on a good quality electric trolley like Powakaddy which I know are the bees patellas.

Does anyone have other recommendations or comment on the ones they bought that are available like the one in Woodies and McGuirks. Sorry forget the brand.

    Thanks

I have a PowaKaddy Freeway, it's ok but handle broke off after a couple of years, €75 for new one, it's also a heavy piece of kit. My mates have MoCad's, bought in woddies, they fold down nice and compact and seem reliable. I wouldn't spend loads on a electric trolley if I was buying again. The Mocad is prob the best value, however if you can get a good deal on your ebay one and it lasts a few years you're away with it.

I bought a Caddiemaster Trolley last week...arrived within 7 days of ordering ..great price..solid heavy trolley..worked once and then second time out it wouldn't budge..looks like a battery problem...have e-mailed them today, so I can't tell you the outcome yet. Looking at their feedback it seems to be a common problem but they seem to send out a replacement battery and everyone seems to have this problem resolved to their satisfaction...I shalll wait and see..My husband has a Golf Glider for the last 10 years..and has only gone through 2 batteries in all that time while playing regularly. It is an out and out workhorse and the best trolley ever but it cost him about 450 punts all that time ago.

Was surfing the other day and found Motocaddy - don't know if they are on sale here but there is a UK online shop. I like the S3 that has distance measurement built in!

I still use a push trolley - ironically cos I have a bad back I find the batteries very heavy to lift. Also I like to be casual about arrangements and I'm not sure I could be bothered with all the charging of batteries.
However due to advancing years.......I might have to finally give in - if so what advice would posters have as to the lightest of the power caddies and batteries?

    thanks

I have a pulsar trolley. The trolley itself I suppose wouldn;t be particularly light compared to the rest, but it has a slim battery with handles on it so I would guess that it's lighter than most.

I have to say, I've forgotten my battery on two occassions recently and I must admit that the convenience on jsut grabbing one of the carts at the club is not to be sniffed at - no setting up, folding etc. Very handy! Although I wouldn't give up the electric having said that.

Thanks all for your replies. Got the Mocad 3 in Woodies there not so long ago for 269 down 80 euro in Sallynoggin. Think they have the same sale on in Carrickmines in Dublin so they shift the sale around. Says though about battery that it's recommended for 18 holes and that after that it may effect life of battery.

Would recommend it - so far. Keeps good pace too and folds neat. Don't know how it compares weight wise to others though. Probably best to read up on all or just check in the shops.

Did anybody go for the Motocaddy S3. Theres a company in cork who sell them. Just wondering if anybody bought one. The R&A banned the first version so Motocaddy and to update the trolley to have a competion mode. Golf today magazine gave it 5 star gold award and powakaddy in england dropped there prices to compete with them. Serously thinking of getting one. Just looking for opinions.

The company name is golf concept in cork. You can get it on the motocaddy website under international distributers. The price for the motocaddy s3 s 495 delivered and its a digital trolley. Compared to Powakaddy freeway which is 540 and thats not the digital one.
