    Who was the last Republic of Ireland international to appear in a major European club final (ie European Cup/Champions League, UEFA Cup or Cup Winners Cup) for a non-British club?

    Unless proved otherwise by somebody with a bigger anorak, your spoiler answer is correct.

    I remember him coming on as a sub in that game.

    Chippy never played in a European final for anybody other than Arsenal. Missed a penalty too.
