I find that the hand dryers just blast out air at room temperature and are very ineffective. Why didn't anyone run for the SU on that issue?

You could just go to the Welfare officer if you feel really strongly about the issue.

Maybe they could install one of those Dyson blade hand dryers - dries the hand in less than 10 seconds! Actually if you make a few passes with it on your hands it gets really uncomfortably dry...

uncomfortably dry you say, having used my jeans as towel one to many times, that sounds good.

Let's put it this way - I'm not metrosexual in any sense but if someone had offered my some moisturiser I wouldn't have turned it down.

They have those dryers in the airport and the toilets in McDonald's on Grafton Street if you want to see what I'm talking about.

Some of you may be familiar with my love for these babies. I've only ever come across them in Stansted Airport and (believe it or not) Carraroe.

The "Old Boro" in Swords has one of them dryers: they're excellent. No stupid queue to dry your hands.

They're supposed to be a lot more energy efficient (save on time, paper etc), but to be honest, they're so much fun that people end up going nutso with them. The video really doesn't do them justice, if they weren't bolted to the wall they'd hover mid air. You EDIT:'could' honestly dry your shoes without taking them off EDIT: (If it had been raining for exmple).

Interestingly, one of my locals at home used to have the dryers as shown in your video link, albeit the 'chrome'-trimmed variety, but they were recently replaced by Dyson Airblades.

The ones in dundrum are those dyson airblade yokes that you stick your hands into and move them up as it drys them for you. Not nearly as powerful or as cool as the xlerator but still fairly cool i guess...
