Why would someone want 7000 wild birds eggs ?

    The article states that he was a professional bird egg thief. So I can see why he stole them, but who on earth did he sell them to?
    And if he was selling them how come he had 7000 in his house?

    He could have been a main dealer, other than that what a boaring occupation. It would be worse than collecting stamps. He probably had some school kids employed climbing trees and wading through rivers and swamps doing the dirty work for him. They should have sent him off to some remote island among the terns during nesting season for punishment.
