    Just a quick question,

What is the proper way to add extra points to a MMDS system?

Do they just use a power pass splitter?

    Thanks in advance :)

Yes they do use a power pass splitter, but it depends on the signal level that arrives from the aerial, when I worked for Chorus they stated that it shouldn't be split if signal was anything lower than about 72 db for digital as it would break up.....so you would put up a second aerial....

    Thats perfect thanks alot ;)

Also does anybody know the test frequency (Channel No.) that Chorus use for Aligning there aerials.

I have an aerial from my old house and want to throw it up.

From the top of my head it's 223.25Mhz but I could be wrong.

yes to split the signal, the main box will have to be on the power side of the splitter.you obviously know that you need another box to watch the mmds in another room.(sorry if its blanantly obvious).
you didnt say wheter its digi or annoluge?

Do note that Chorus needs a subscription.

A Cable amp/splitter makes more sense than a second aerial. Ordinary TV amp /splitters usually won't handle the number of channels without overloading or don't cover the hyper cable frequency band. 200MHz to 470Mhz approx

You will need 2 aerials split twice for 4 points. Why dont you contact Chorus?? They will do all the work required and supply all the equipment needed

What you have shown is for a cable system and will not work properly for MMDS..

Such a thing is working if the power inserter is placed before the amp.
The item from the link has chinese f-sockets which are not compatible.

Stop dont waste your time and money on those fancy gadgets. All you need is a fourway splitter and a back to back connection.the back to back connects your main cable coming in to the house to the four gang splitter. Then four co axial plugs (standard tv plugs) out to each tv you want a signal to.
The reason you are not to use a power amplifier is that there is power already on the cable coming in to the house. so if you put more power on the circuit you will decrease the quality of the picture

A 4way splitter eat up around 6db signal strenght. If the incoming signal is not so strong thats no so good.
Btw the theme of this thread is mmds via aerial and not cable. The aerial must be fed with power.

im not an expert so if want want to split the signal to go to a second box where do i put the splitter, from what i see the main feed coming from the aerial to a power source 'ant in' then 'tv out' feed to the tv. from which of these feeds do i split the signal. what does this power supply do?
